Lower Auto Insurance - Do These If You Want Lower Rates

Doing the following will get you lower auto insurance rates...
1) Get a car that has the following: Anti-lock brakes, alarm system, daytime running lights and any other safety or security gadget. Let your insurance agent be told if you have these in place. Since they will keep you and your car safer they are regarded as better risks by insurance companies. They will help you get lower auto insurance rates.
2) If you want to get lower auto insurance rates, choose a third party only coverage. This option is feasible only in areas that allow it as a minimum. Just remember that you will not receive any money for your car. It merely caters for the third party's car thus the name. This means that you will have to pay out of your own account to repair your car. This should be your best option if yours is an old car.
If, for example, you get collision coverage for an old car, your insurance company will merely give you the value of your car at the time of the crash. Add to that your deductible (An amount you must provide before your insurance company carries out its responsibility) and you will discover that if your car is just an old one, not a classic, what you will be reimbursed (if anything) will not be worth the money you would have been spending on premium.
3) You'll get lower auto insurance rates if you can shop around (by visiting quotes sites and doing detailed comparison). You'll realize savings if you use just one of such sites. But, you will get more by visiting at least three. This is because insurance companies not covered by one site will be covered by the other. And since likelihood of receiving lower auto insurance quotes is related to the range of quotes you obtain, the more companies you get quotes from, the better your chances.
